Return of the Light

The Tryscarians said nothing as Marol was escorted out. The doors of the sound-proofed conference room were shut, leaving just Burne, Josson, the woman who had said nothing, and the security detail.

Alain Josson was first to speak. "We're playing with fire, here. And you know it. People could die because of this."

"I didn't ask you, Josson." Burne hissed.

"We don't owe them any allegiance. Getting involved with them is dangerous and senseless. They never should have come here."

"And do we have a choice, Josson? Better to be on their good side. Keep your friends close, your enemies closer, and those who could ruin this corporation and level Tryscar's cities the closest. Don't be a fool."

The woman spoke quietly, typing on her laptop. "Sir, coordinates are secured for every product shipped to Cruor."

Burne stood up, with some assistance from a security guard who helped him up and handed him his walking cane.

"Good, good. We have work to do."

He left the room, along with his security guards and the blonde woman. Josson grabbed up his briefcase and followed.
