Slaves Freed

Sorc and Azero and apparently Kesu lol would walk ahead of the slaves and night walkers and arrive at New Kyanon. Sorac would look around to find Arrakesh "Atrum Veneficus comes with a wonderful gift for Kyanon, where is Arrakesh?"

As the gate opened in New Kyanon, it was immediately surrounded by armed soldiers in case it posed a threat. It was a rather unpleasant welcome, but as soon as one of the officers recognized them as friendly Atrumites, the soldiers were called off and reprimanded. An officer stepped forward.

"Honorable Lord Sorac, forgive our misunderstanding. We were not expecting you. Come, I will show you the way to the capitol building, where the Honorable Warrior-General Arrakhesh is."

The officer and an armed escort would lead Sorac, Azero, and apparently Kesu through the city. Sections of it still seemed to be made up mostly of crude scrap material, but for the most part, the city's construction was coming along very nicely for a city which was just recently built from the ground up within a few months.

A few minutes later they arrived at the capitol building. It was a proud, stately building with solid architecture and it clearly stood out from most other Kyanite buildings, but it was nowhere near the superficial elegance and opulence of the former Kyanite Royal Palace. The officer sent a soldier inside, and he returned shortly.

"Come inside. The Honorable Warrior-General will see you now."

Sorac would nod and answer "Its quite alright, i should have contacted before hand." As he walked through the city he looked around smiling at how the Kyanites were going well, just like Atrum. Next place to visit would be Arian to see how they were coming along. When he was allowed in to see Arrakesh he smiled at him "Honorable Warrior General. Its good to see you." He looked around at the capitol building "Im glad to see you take after your father."

Kesu walked behind Azero and stayed still as well as she could in respect for the leader but she had so much energy that she seemed to shift from one heel to the other often and swing her arms on occasion.

Azero would glance at her still not showing his face but his eyes were enough. telling her 'stop moving around so much!' He was going to bring her outside if she kept moving around at all. He stood stock still in attention.

She noticed Azero's looking at her and tried to hold still though she wanted to move around, she was still frigidity but not moving as noticeably as before.

They were brought to Arrakhesh's meeting room, where a modest oak table was surrounded with chairs at the far end by the wall. The room was simple and sparsely furnished or decorated, although it was still under construction. Arrakhesh stepped forward wearing simple Kyanite business attire.

"Good to see you as well, Honorable Lord." Arrakhesh saluted Sorac and Azero, but didn't recognize Kesu. "What brings you here? I see you have a new friend...hello."

Kesu opened her mouth to speak but stopped and only bowed slightly to him then smiled again. She didn't it was in her right to speak to him without being addressed with a specific question, she was very respectful though her energy levels made her presence seem undisciplined.

Sorac smiled and nodded "I come with two gifts for kyanon, as we speak a group of my night walkers are escorting around 50 kyanites back here that we have freed from Tryscarian captivity. The other is for you my friend. Kyanon has been an honorable ally and your father was a dear friend. In honor of that friendship and ours. I hope you will accept these." Azero brought forward a blade that looked tribal like curving inward instead of out, the outward part had five red rings going through it dangling at its side. With is was a gauntlet made of the same material and spiked. It had a red tint to it and design like fire roaring up it. Sorac smiled and gestured toward them.

"I hope you accept them, the gauntlet is named claw of flame, and the sword was named 'the Warrior's Fang' after your father and the kyanite symbol of the wolf."

Azero was about to say something while holding the gauntlet and sword but was pleasantly surprised when she stopped herself.

Arrakhesh nodded proudly when hearing the news of the freed Kyanite slaves.

"My people are in debt to you, Honorable Lord."

He bowed his head humbly and accepted Sorac's gifts. He looked at them for a long moment, admiring them greatly, and then spoke.

"You honor me with these things, and I shall treasure them just as I treasure my nation's friendship with Atrum Veneficus. I thank you, Honorable Lord Sorac, and all of your people for the sacrifices that you have made.

Sorac smiled when he accepted the gifts and took them from Azero. Azero stepped back with Kesu and nodded at her to follow him outside and he would turn and walk outside as the slaves would enter the city. Sorac would pull out a red-ish organge ring with the symbol of a flame on it. "I was originally going to give this too Kabriel at the end of the war...but i think he would want you to have it. You have proven yourself a wise and powerful man. May the Ring of Fire's light guide you and Kyanon for generations to come my friend."

Arrakhesh clasped it in his hand tightly. "I thank you, Honorable Lord." He turned to look out the window as he heard the commotion of the freed Kyanites seeing their new capital city for the first time. He watched as some of their families rushed forward to greet them - siblings, spouses, children - and the soldiers were all grouped together and being lined up into formation to take a roll call. All of the wounded were taken off to the medical camps to be treated, and there was a great celebration as Kyanon was honored by the return of some of its people. Still, others there had no one to come meet them...men, women, and children whose families were now gone simply wandered the streets, trying to get their bearings in this new and foreign place that was now their home.

Sorac looked outside and put a hand on the new leader's shoulder "As Atrum Veneficus was there for Kyanon so shall we be still. I vow to you, i will free as many of your people as possible. We will watch Tryscar crumble, we will never let them have your people."

Azero looked at her and nodded "You were good in there....I was surprised actually."

Kesu smiled with excitement at Azero's praise.
"Really!?!?!?! I'm sooo happy you're proud of me," she exclaimed as she went to glomp him, he would know by now that she glomps him when she's excited and he may or may not want to avoid this. If he avoided it she would fall down on her face and if he didn't she might have knocked him down from the force.

He sighed and let her glomp him, he found himself hugging her back but he quickly stopped, trying to make sure he showed now emotion. He would also make sure his mask didnt fall at all, not revealing his face.

Arrakhesh turned to Sorac for a moment and spoke calmly. "There is nothing that can hold my people from their home. Wherever that may be, that doesn't matter. But a Kyanite always knows where he belongs - with his own people. Honorable Lord, I must go to greet my people to their new home. You may come with me, if you like." He looked down at the equipment that he had been given by Sorac. "And perhaps you can tell me more about these."

Sorac would nod "I would be honored. Yes of course i will answer any question you may have. I forged the ring myself actually. These are all linked by two things." He explained as they walked outside.

Arrakhesh listened intently to Sorac, even as some of his advisors, guards, and other officials greeted him or rushed over to relay the news as he walked through the open halls of the capitol. He was courteous to all of them, like a calm, understanding man who was just speaking amongst his co-workers, but explained that he had matters to attend to and couldn't stop to talk at the moment. He kept his attention on Sorac the entire time.

"Please, do go on, Honorable Lord."

Kesu was extremely happy that he hugged her back for the first time, in the short time they've known each other she seemed to have grown attached to him and no matter where he went she was there, right behind him. She let go and backed up while playfully smiling and swaying from side to side.
"Master Azeeero, why are you always hiding your face, I'm sure you don't have anything to hide under there, come on, why not let me see hm?" she asked without thinking if it would offend him or not.

Sorac smiled and nodded "Of course, these artifacts are actually all fashioned to kyanites. They will only work with people of your descent since you were the first kyanite they bonded too unless you decide other wise. The Gauntlet has the power of determination. While you hold it you and your troops around you will always feel your strongest, never fearful, never discouraged. Never tired oft he fight. It will Also give you the clarity you need to lead wisely. The ring embodies the fire in your blood, the will to fight and the lust for battle. It will literally give you strength and make you a perfect soldier. The sword will inspire fear in the hearts of your enemy and for every five you kill the rings will each light up and when you hit something next the energy of those souls will be unleashed in a massive shock wave. All of these will improve upon and enhance every attribute of the being. Not through inherent night magik but through a bonding of magik and the mind." He would shake his head and chuckle "I know you don't believe in magik, though you've seen ours, try them the next time your in battle. You will see and beleive."

Azero looked to the side a bit "Im not hiding anything...besides me. I dont show my face. You get attatched to people that way....im a night walker..i cant afford attatchment."

Arrakhesh nodded, taking Sorac's words to heart and trying to fully understand them. It was clear that Kyanites were still skeptical at best when it came to magic, but Arrakhesh was still more open-minded than most.

"I will hold these gifts close to my heart, Honorable Lord, and your words and wisdom as well."

Arrakhesh continued leading Sorac back out of the capitol building. Before he left, two bodyguards came to his side to accompany him outside, although there was less pompous grandeur associated with Arrakhesh's security than with many other officials from Kyanon back in Spero.

He would smile and nod "Thank you. Ive been takin time to craft the same type of things for Arian but with different properties of course. unity between the three nations of ours is critical at this time and ill do what it takes to make them know they arent alone now." He would stay besides arrakhesh

"I understand. I look forward to meeting with our friends from Arian soon, if we get the chance. Perhaps a conference sometime would be in order."

Arrakhesh stepped outside of the double-doors of the capitol building with his guards and Sorac, and made his way into the nearby city square where most of the slaves were still meeting with their families and being brought into the city. A small memorial stone marked the center of the city where there was an open area, lined with buildings with the capitol building at the far end. Many Kyanites were gathered here, most of them rejoicing and some still mourning as they heard news of missing or dead family members - either those who never made it to Elysium, or the ones lost in the slave camps over the long months of waiting.

The people saw their Warrior-General approaching, and a thunderous roar of applause and cheers exploded from the celebrating Kyanites. Arrakhesh saluted his people humbly and called for silence. People quickly began to gather around to hear what the young man had to say to them.

Kesu looked up at him and smiled warmly.
"You dont have to worry about that with me, my life is bond to yours now. I cannot repay you any other way than to serve you Master, this attachment was formed when you freed me," when she said this she seemed a bit different, as if this were as serious as death itself. "Sooo, why not show me Master Azeero?" her child-like self returned to normal with this last part though she still seemed more calm and serious than she had before.

He looked surprised and he sighed at her "Wow..when you become so serious how could i say no" he just wanted to end the barrage of questions....right? He flipped his hood back revealing silver-ish white hair and eyes the color and intensity of lightning. There was a scar running down his left eye to the start of his cheek but it wasnt too large though still noticeable. He took the mask part off and he looked like he may have smiled quite alot once, he had a youthful face, but it looked sad, worn out and tired of all the fighting and hate.

Sorac stopped and listened to Arrakhesh just like everyone else did. He wanted to hear the new kyanite leader's words.
