The Empire of Cruor Sanguis would like to invite participants of all nations to take part in our Trials of the Warrior's Inquest. This event which takes place in the Empire will allow the best warriors to be chosen to fight for honor and glory in our Arena. Anyone who is interested in participating should contact us and state their interest in the Trials so we may select the most capable warriors.

Enslaved Shilain people would be entered by there masters in promise that if they won they would grant their freedom. The masters, of course, had no intentions of releasing them after the trials but only wanted the money and glory from the brutal battle Royals.

"To all whom it may regard,
Warriors Inquest is a tiered arena event where the most capable warriors test their strength. All participants must register before entering the event, they must abide by the rules and regulations stated in the registration forms, any who do otherwise will be stricken of them winnings and escorted of the arena grounds. Should a person return to the grounds and harass the remaining participants, harsher methods - including incapacitating magik- will be used to detain them. Participants, accompanied by their party and representatives, will be provided room, board, and ritualistic freedoms during their stay in Cruor. Cruor is usually not so tolerant of rituals foreign to their own being preformed on their lands so treat this as a gift from the emperor himself and do not abuse it.

Rules and Regulations:
Unarmed combatants must face other unarmed combatants, and armed combatants must face other armed combatants of the same general weapon category. Combatants with magikal prowess must be matched with other magik users, and cybernetically or technologically enhanced must also be matched with other users of technology. Skill levels will be used to determine the threat of each combatant, and match them accordingly based on their skills. Levels from 1 to 10 will be assigned, with 1 being beginner level and 10 being master level.

Long Distance
Weapons intended to be used only at long distance are not permitted. This includes sniper rifles, long distance magik spells, fully automatic weaponry, and any other offensive weaponry which can be used on a target greater than one hundred feet. Any use of such weaponry will be penalized.

Unarmed
The unarmed category strictly prohibits all weapons. Hand-to-hand is the only acceptable combat style, and use of any weapon including blade, blunt, magik, or fist weapons will be penalized.

Weapon
The weapon category matches combatants against each other based on their choice of weapon. These categories include bladed weapons (swords, daggers, knives, axes, bladed fist weapons, bladed polearms, etc. - any weapon with a sharp edge intended for offensive use), blunt weapons (hammers, truncheons, blunt polearms, brass knuckles, etc. - any weapon with a blunt or rounded surface intended for offensive use), and ranged (firearms, handguns, rifles, semi-automatic weaponry, submachine guns, bows and arrows, etc. - any weapon which is designed to fire a ranged projectile), and magik (blood, night, nature magik, or any other type of unnaturally designed spell or natural ability which is either learned through study and practice or inherited). Fully automatic weapons are prohibited from the arena at all times.

Age, Capability, and Condition
Every participant must be at least age sixteen years of age or older. No minors, people with impaired health conditions, or people who are incapable of participating in physically active combat may register. Any health issues will be means for immediate disqualification. Any injuries received during the trials and championship will receive full medical attention during their stay.

Boarding Accommodations
The campgrounds near the Colosseum will be provided to all participants of every nation to make their camp in the reserved areas for the duration of the event, including one week prior and one week after the beginning and end of the event. An area suitable for approximately ten individuals will be provided, along with food and supplies for each participant and their guests.

There was a delay in the message from Imuabu due to the fact the messenger bird was flying off course because of thick clouds and severe storms... please hold as the messenger bird tries to direct themselves on course for it is terribly lost. Thank you.

A letter arrived made out of an ancient papyrus reed. The writing was written in hieroglyphs with dark ink that was made out of grinded pigment, which was mixed with a liquid. It had fine brush strokes and was only smeared a little.

Normally, we are a peaceful nation, and I do not tolerate any harm to my people, but my warriors have declared to me they want to do this. I would fight in this myself… though… I do not want to risk anything for reasons I cannot explain.
