Brethren of Auvreanea

An ancient race, long since passed away into the abyss of the spirit world or so the world of Elysium thought. So careless are those above that never saw what lie before their eyes, slumbering until his time would come. Tens, hundreds, thousands, and millions of years past since the day he was sealed into his fate before the humans of this world found him. Drawn into the darkest depths of the surface, lying above a black aura that surrounded the inner core of the planet they found him, took him from his chambers, took his genetics and tried to replicate them, soon now his race would be reborn as his time of awakening approached.

Lost in the chapters of time, long before human memory can recall, lived a race that resembled that of elves with unique horns. Those who have heard of them through legends today refer to them as demons, imps, and devils when they were no more evil than humanity. During the prior times unheard of now they were known for “playing games” with the humans of this world, trading their hearts to extend the lives of humans. Humanity thought of these people as devil worshipers and occultists when is actuality they used their powers to save the lives of humans.

In the years to come they humanity found that they could use their horns as a power source for technology and magik and thus they were trapped, caged, hunted, and murdered for these horns. Some were trapped alive in power sources, other killed and their horns taken for alchemy and technological purposes nevertheless the reasoning, the race was forced into hiding by the humans, not to show themselves until the beginning of the White Wars as they called them. During the White Wars they were discovered, hunted, and slaughtered for their horns once again only this time there was no escape. Men, women, children, young or old were killed and stripped of their horns and their bodies cast aside like rag dolls. Their lives at an end, their race at extinction, all was lost if not for one who was sealed into eternal slumber in the world’s crust, awaiting his time to come.

That time has long since passed now and sometime after the people of this world were drawn to his power and uncovered him, took him from his resting place and brought him into a laboratory. The power emitted from his horns was far more than they could have imagined. They began testing on the specimen they thought was deceased when they found he was still living. After this discovery they began taking great amounts of blood from his body, extracting his DNA, and attempting to clone it. The greed of humanity brought them to think that they could create an unlimited supply of power from their horns; they were creating them to be destroyed. However, war broke out in those parts and the laboratories left abandoned with hundreds of Auvreanea living within their cages.
