ServaCorps Justice Department

A message is sent out to any parties who may be interested in employment at ServaCorps:

"Introducing ServaCorps' new Justice Department Program! Reach for justice in our exciting new employment opportunities while bolstering the safety and productivity of our nation. As part of ServaCorps' Justice Department, or SCJD, you'll be an important part of a dynamic team whose goals include enacting justice on behalf of our valued customers, enhancing the continued security of our products, and solidifying the efficient success of our programs, customer satisfaction, and the peace-of-mind of our customers who will count on you to ensure the rightful and just use of our products.

Full benefits and training provided upon admittance and employment. Please report to the ServaCorps Headquarters in Tyton with a resume and application to be interviewed. Available positions include reinforced shipment security, processing specialist, product retention specialist, situational investigation agent, and product location specialist.

Lily would walk up to the front lobby desk, where a very polite-looking secretary sitting behind the desk smiled brightly at her. The room was quite busy with people coming in and out, most of them dressed formally in business attire.

"Good morning, ma'am, and welcome to ServaCorps. How may I help you?"

"Great! The elevator is on your right, you want the Interview Room on the second floor. It'll be the third door on your left. Just register and they'll have someone available to speak with you right away."

The secretary gestured to the elevators.

"Have a great day!"

Lily was greeted by yet another secretary who politely took her paperwork and directed her to wait in line. There were about twenty other people sitting in the waiting room, each waiting their turn for their paperwork to be reviewed so their initial meeting could be arranged. About half an hour passed with people going into the interview room and walking back out after a few moments, and others joining the line in the waiting room. Finally, Lily's name was called.

"Applicant 149 - Miss Allen? The interviewer will see you now."

The interviewer, a middle-aged man with brown hair and a neatly trimmed beard wearing a sleek suit, stood up from his seat behind his desk and shook Lily's hand.

"Nice to meet you, Ms. Allen. My name is Torin Smith. Please, have a seat."

He gestured to a chair sitting opposite from him across the desk.

"Why don't you tell me a bit about yourself?"

The interviewer nodded. No other applicant had been as straight-forward about the "job requirements" as this applicant had. She seemed to have a keen understanding of what the job actually entailed, even though it was only briefly hinted in the job listing. Realistically, it wasn't an office job - it was a field job, where employees would be doing exactly what it was that Lily said.

"You know what, I like your attitude. Let's take a look here..."

He gathered some papers in front of him, viewing Lily's registration paperwork and application.

Torin Smith nodded, smiling.

"Quite impressive, Miss Allen. It seems you have quite a bit of experience in the fields that we're looking to enhance here at ServaCorps. Our focus for this job position is security, and it would entail things like providing shipments of products with a more advanced escort, locating and reclaiming escaped property, and investigating stolen property or interference in our activities. To put it bluntly, as you did, some of it may involve 'dirty work' and covert operations. You have experience related to most of these fields, so...you're very well-qualified. Training is required, though, but it will be free-of-charge and your salary...which is negotiable, by the way...will begin when you become qualified. When would you be available to begin our full-time training course, Miss Allen?"

"Very well. Trust me, that attitude will get you far here at ServaCorps - if you keep it under wraps - but you'll be a valuable addition to the SJCD team. I'll review everything that we've discussed here today and submit you for consideration for employment."

Torin arranged all the paperwork again and collected it, placing it neatly in a file on his desk.

"But between you and I, you're as good as hired. It was nice meeting you, Miss Allen. Expect a call within a week once you're officially accepted so I can give you details to report for training."

He offered his hand to her again for another handshake.

Within a few days, Lily's phone would ring.

"Hello, is this Ms. Lily Allen? This is Torin Smith, from ServaCorps. We met earlier regarding your job position with us here in the ServaCorps Justice Department - I wanted to let you know that I've sent your application through, and you were approved for the position. Are you still interested?"

"The preliminary paperwork is all finished up, and there are a few more things to fill out - agreements, contracts, things like that - but we can take care of that when you come in for training. You can report into the ServaCorps HQ tomorrow morning at 6 A.M. sharp to begin training. Will this be suitable for you, Ms. Allen?"

When Lily would arrive at the ServaCorps HQ, she would be directed to an unmarked transport vehicle which was taking the new trainees from the HQ to the training grounds. The brand new, luxurious vehicle seated a total of ten. It was much nicer than what the average Tryscarian would be driving around in.

Inside, a few of Lily's new coworkers would politely greet her. They seemed to come from different walks of life - some seemed like business professionals, others seemed like law enforcement or private security, and still others seemed like mercenaries or criminals in their appearance and mannerisms.

Once everyone was loaded in, including two ServaCorps security guards, a driver, and an instructor, they were told that it'd be just a few short minutes until they reached the destination - the new ServaCorps Justice Department Instructional Facility.

The instructor was sitting in the front passenger's seat. He answered Lily's question so the other new recruits could hear as well. "The training facility's exact location can't be disclosed at this time, but it's only a few minutes away. We'll be there shortly."

"We'll be beginning your training for the job position, of course. You are in the right place, aren't you?"

The instructor checked an electronic PDA device, and flipped through a list of names. "The name is...Lily Allen, correct?"

The vehicle rolled through the streets of Tyton, merging in with the sounds of the busy city and heavy traffic.
