In a processing station in the city of Tyton, ID #5968V - also known as Ti'lay Sashin - had been purchased and was now being processed through the prison-like system in which her records were checked, updated, and she was shipped. She was known only by her identification number - she had no name, no past, and no future in this place. She was simply classified as a "T3 product" meaning that she had just been shipped off and sold to the highest bidder whose eye she had happened to catch.

After being sent through the processing station quickly, with the metal collar strapped around her neck constantly being checked, re-checked, and updated with ID cards, ID #5968V was shoved into the back of a cramped, dark cargo truck packed with six other slaves and three armed security guards. One of them nagged at the slaves in a monotonous voice as the truck's engine roared and rumbled and the wheels started to turn.

"No talking. Sit still, you'll be delivered shortly."

Ti'lay followed through, not having much of an option to do anything else through the process with the heavy security around her. She hissed at the guards who shoved her into the truck and then glanced inside taking her time to pick a seat and sit down.

"I'll talk if I damn well please."

"Shut up."

As the last slaves were piled in, all of them in cuffs, shackles, and metal collars, the guards shoved them all in together and stuffed them together onto the benches lining the sides of the black, windowless cargo container. The back hatch of the truck closed tightly after the last guard stepped in, and the truck rolled out of the processing station and through the streets of Tyton to disperse its cargo.

Ti'lay glanced around at the surrounding slaves. Most of them looked like they had had as bad a time as she did, and she was sure that none of them had just lost any of their nations. she sighed at the thought. She looked at the person next to her and whispered quietly, "Where are we?"

There were people of various ethnicities and origins in the same position as Ti'lay. Two of them seemed like they might be familiar - there was one tall, dark-skinned man with a pronounced muscular build and complex scarification designs across his body, possibly a Kyanite, and there was a younger woman with long, dark hair who resembled the Drui or Daoine of Spero.

The slave sitting next to Ti'lay, a terrified, scrawny teenage girl, was too scared to respond to Ti'lay. She didn't answer for fear that the guards would hear them talking and punish them. She started to cry a little bit, looking up at Ti'lay helplessly, and then she looked away quickly. A man sitting on the other side of her overheard her and whispered as quietly as possible, "...we're in Elysium. This is Tryscar." The truck went eerily quiet.

Ti'lay frowned, while she recognized the ethnicity of the man from Kyanon, she had never heard of the place. Having spent most of her time in a daze after the destruction of Vaiton. She groaned wanting to know more information, but knowing that is was too silent for them to talk across the truck.

She leaned close to the girl, making soothing sounds, "Shhh, it will be okay."

One of the guards heard voices, but wasn't sure which slave was speaking. He banged an armored fist against the side of the truck loudly, sending a sharp, shocking, metallic boom through the cargo container

"Shut up!"

The truck continued to roll down the roads for a short distance. Eventually, the truck stopped and two slaves were grabbed by the arms and pulled off out of the back hatch. The door quickly shut and then the guards returned, the truck started rumbling through the streets of Tyton again.

Ti'lay took a chance while the guards were distracted, "Where is that? You're from Kyanon aren't you? Where is everyone else?"

Before the man had a chance to respond, the truck stopped again. One of the guards grabbed Ti'lay by the arm and yanked her towards the back of the truck to unload her and "deliver" her. She'd be able to see nothing from inside but part of a dark street and bright city lights, and would have little chance to resist as the guard quickly tried to move her out of the truck.

Ti'lay started to protest, and struggle, but didn't have much chance to. Once she was out on the street she would try to break free and make a break for it. Otherwise with little resistance she would, for the moment resign to her fate.

IN the shadows otoen would stand, trying his best to restrain his anger until the guards were paying less attention. He was going to save her before any of these bastards could do anything to her.

Another guard saw Ti'lay struggling and quickly grasped her other arm to restrain her. During her struggling, she managed to slam her elbow into one of the guard's faces, bloodying his nose and angering him.

"You little bitch..."

The other guard, standing by the sealed hatch of the truck, had already drawn his taser and kept his hand near the grip of his handgun at the side. They tried to hold Ti'lay back until she calmed down.

"Quit struggling! Stop right now or you'll be tased! Don't try to run!"

Ti'lay was somewhere in one of the ghettoes on the outskirts of Tyton. The neighborhood seemed a bit run-down, mostly made up of large apartment buildings, condos, and a few stores that lined the busy streets. The truck that was carrying the slaves had parked off to the side of the road in a small parking lot outside one of the larger apartment buildings, a tall, dingy brick and metal building that reached a few stories into the air. If Ti'lay managed to break free, she would either have to run across the busy street or across the parking lot behind the building. The guards continued trying to hold her back before she could have a chance to escape.

Ti'lay, seeing what she had done, made another attempt to bash the same guard in the face. "Call me a bitch again, I'm sure this is the best action you get!" She continued to struggle and rip free of them, a desperate look coming across her face, as she realized that the whole thing was becoming useless.

The same guard was hit in the face again and sent reeling backwards, losing his grip on Ti'lay as he lost his balance. For a split second, Ti'lay would have a chance to break free from the other guard holding her before he would try to slam her against the back of the truck and pin her down as the other guard advanced on her, aiming for her with the taser.

Ti'lay made one last pull on her arm, and started hobbling away as fast as her shackled feet would allow her to. Knowing all to quickly, that unless she can break the shackles she wasn't going to get very far. Ti'lay chose to dart across the street, hoping to lose them quicker becuase of the crowd.

After making some distance, she bent down quickly, taking in a deep breath and then breathing it down onto her shackles, she would breath slowly and a mist could been seen from the air that she blew - she was attempting to freeze them off. She took only a moment to do this, not wanting to waste any precious time.

As soon as she ran Otoen took action he blinked into the air between the two guards and kicked them both in the face quickly then blinked over to Ti'lay kneeling down and casting a spell to temporarily keep them both invisible still.

He smiled at her but said urgently "Hurry up, we need to move."

Ti'lay screamed, not expecting anyone to pop up in front of her. She fell over backwards, not being able to balance herself, and she instantly started to scooch away from Otoen before she realized who it was. She squeezed her eyes closed waiting to get tased or beaten, and never really heard what he had said.

Ti'lay's shackles had weakened a bit, but they were made of a powerful metal that was impervious to weather conditions and resistant to most attempts to break the chains. The guards sprinted after Ti'lay immediately. One of them aimed and fired the taser darts at her, but missed by a few inches. The other recovered and drew a handgun and fired a single warning shot into the air, sending most of the crowd - the few dozen people walking back and forth on the sidewalk - into a panic as they screamed and scurried off in every direction to get out of the way. The first guard wasted no time in sprinting after her and was just about to tackle her before Otoen appeared, kicking him in the face and sending him flying backwards along with the other guard who had tried to tase her.

The guard holding the handgun remained, and he took aim for Otoen.

"Don't move!!"

Another guard carrying an SMG jumped out from the front of the truck, aiming his weapon at Otoen and Ti'lay as he called for backup.

"Alert, Convoy C32 under assault! Backup requested immediately!"

The once strong, resilient composer Ti'lay had a few minutes ago instantly dissolved as Ti'lay broke into a blubbering mess of tears. Between racking sobs, and hic-ups of air Ti'lay tried to talk to Otoen. "But! I thought you died! Vaiton.. Everyone.. dead..

The guards were immediately thrown off track when Ti'lay and Otoen disappeared. They completely lost sight of them, although Ti'lay would stand out against everyone else on the streets in her distinctive slave garments, shackles, cuffs, and collar.

After taking a moment to regroup, the guards started trying to track Ti'lay - they weren't about to let their merchandise escape. Backup was already on its way, and the wailing of sirens was heard somewhere off in the city, quickly getting closer to the area. A loudspeaker sounded from the truck.

"ID #5968V, you are required to return immediately! If you do not return peacefully NOW, you will be incapacitated and returned against your will! Do not resist! This is your last chance!"

Traffic on the streets started to thin down, avoiding the area, as the pedestrians scattered off. Ti'lay and Otoen were running out of time and places to hide.

One of the guards quickly opened the back hatch of the truck to latch it from the inside to prevent any of the other slaves from pushing the hatch and sneaking out. The guard was completely taken by surprise by the large Kyanite man, who had been waiting in ambush at the inside of the hatch, for the guard to come in. The Kyanite man, who had somehow managed to reposition the cuffs in front of him, burst forward to slam the guard against the wall, snap the chains of his cuffs directly at the guard, and literally break the man's face as the heavy metal chains cracked and shattered the guard's bones. The Kyanite snapped the guard's neck and grabbed his handgun, using the interior wall of the truck as cover as he took a few shots at the guards outside the hatch. He hit one in the chest, barely wounding him through his bullet-proof vest, and hit another directly in the head, instantly killing him. The Kyanite man had just put his own life at risk to try and escape, and he bought Ti'lay and Otoen a few more precious seconds in the process.

Ti'lay took in a deep breath, while she felt totally shattered inside, now was not a good time to break completely down. "Otoen, I can't get these shackles off! We've got to go now! They can track me through this damn collar or something."

An armored car marked with the ServaCorps logo escorting a a sleek, black police cruiser with flashing lights and sirens pulled up on the street. More ServaCorps guards flooded out of the back of the armored car, with body armor and assault rifles, and two police officers stepped out of their cruiser to join in the search.

One of the backup guards spotted the Kyanite man taking shots at them from the back of the truck. He gave the signal to take him down, and two guards flanked the sides of the truck while another covered them from the patrol vehicle. They swooped in, one grabbing the man by surprise and flinging him down onto the street. The Kyanite struggled fiercly, getting a few more shots in and wounding the first guard, sending him stumbling back and falling. He fought off the second guard who tackled him as brutally as he could, slamming his face down into the pavement and grappling with him. As the Kyanite and the ServaCorps guard struggled outside, some of the other slaves made a break for it. The young girl managed to escape towards the back of the parking lot and disappeared out of sight. Most of the others, including the Daoine woman, were caught in the crossfire and either killed or incapacitated. The third guard moved in quickly as soon as the Kyanite overpowered the guard and started mauling him fiercely, and as soon as he got a clear shot, he let loose a volley of rounds directly into the Kyanite's torso. The brave Kyanite was instantly killed and the guards quickly finished up clearing the rest of the slaves, returning the wounded slaves into the back of the truck and leaving the dead and dying ones on the street while they tried to find the only other one still on the loose - Ti'lay.
